Gameplay
Metaia is an open-world adventure role-playing game with anime-style character designs and a world built for exploration. There seems to be a similar feeling among mobile and console players when looking at METRIA.
The media reports that METRIA follows the same gameplay model as Genshin Impact, but will also feature online multiplayer, bringing to the game new ways for players to have fun. Aside from its unique features and mechanics, METRIA has many additional features and benefits. Thus, players will be drawn into the colorful anime world by a sense of familiarity and strangeness.
After playing it myself, I don't see it as Genshin Impact, despite what many people say about it. The way the character is controlled and felt is different, guys. The animation of the characters is the first thing that stands out. Genshin Impact's style is exaggerated and flashy, but this is incredibly precise and agile. Compared to Zelda, I would say that this game is more inspired by Zelda.
RPG mechanics typical of adventure games
METRIA's missions follow an adventure role-playing format similar to traditional role-playing games. In this game, you will have to play the main character, travel around the world, complete quests, and fight enemies. As you begin the game, an image of a 3D character appears, accompanied by a set of skill buttons on the right side of the screen. A few simple skills will be available to you at the beginning, such as jumping, acrobatics, hitting, slashing, and cutting resources (such as cutting trees for wood).
Often, on the way to adventure, you will come across a Portal, which will let you jump from one point on the map to another in a matter of seconds. These portals are not distributed evenly or in sufficient numbers at present. Our walks on the large map will no longer be necessary if we have them.
The game begins with you walking around, fighting whenever you encounter enemies, and finding NPCs to complete side quests with. The quests are numerous, because each one will involve a different request, so you may have to do one particular thing before you can proceed. Map reviews
MetRIA's map is indeed extremely large, with dots and zigzag paths displayed on a green screen. There are almost no complicated symbols, so I found the map to be compact and easy to understand, but I found it hard to read.
It might be necessary to make it more intuitive in future updates. Due to the character's not being quite the same color as the big monsters on the map, it is quite difficult to determine the character's direction and position.
